The 1977 magna cum laude graduate of Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications is a member of five halls of fame and the recipient of more than one hundred national and state writing awards. The Associated Press Sports Editors named him one of America’s top ten columnists. A former adjunct journalism professor at St. John Fisher College, Scott and his wife Beth reside in Penfield, New York.

 

Portrait of Rick BurtonRick Burton is the David B. Falk Endowed Professor of Sport Management in the David B. Falk College of Sport and Human Dynamics. A 1980 graduate of Syracuse’s S. I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, Burton is the coauthor of numerous books and serves as Syracuse’s faculty athletics representative (FAR) to the ACC and NCAA. He lives with his wife Barbara in Skaneateles, New York.
